Junie B's boyfriend Ricardo dumps Junie B and she is devastated. She tells her parents about it but they say she's too young to have a boyfriend and she's at the age where she should be 'footloose and fancy free' meaning she can run and play with whoever but Junie B claims she's a grown up lady. When Mother gives Junie B a bath that night and Junie B was playing with the bubbles which made her look like a bride in a veil. That reminds her that Aunt Flo is getting married. The next day at school Lucille and Grace teach her how to be flower girls. When she gets home she calls Aunt Flo and invites herself to be in her wedding but finds out that Bo is already the flower girl. Junie B gets in trouble for it until Aunt Flo calls again and asks Junie B to be the alternate flower girl. Junie B is happy again. At the wedding Junie B gets in a tussle with Bo because she wanted two petals. At the reception she, Bo and Aunt Flo talk it over then everything is worked out. Bo and Junie B have fun at the reception.
Lesson: You don't need to be like other people; just be yourself
- If Bo is the groom's sister that would make Flo her sister in law. Bo's brother ,the groom would be now Junie B's uncle and Bo would be Junie B's aunt.
- If Junie B was almost six so five and a half and Bo was just five, they might just be only months apart not a year.
- This book's font is noticeably different from the fonts in the other books. It is not known why.
