Junie B., First Grader: Turkeys We Loved and Eaten (And other thankful stuff) is the 31st book of the Junie B. Jones series.
To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, Mr. Scary's first grade class prepares a Thankful List for the school contest, but Junie B. finds it hard to be grateful for squash or Tattletale May.
The students try to say what they are honestly thankful for, which includes stuffed elephants. Junie B. and May both have eleplants and get along for some time, before feuding over which one is better.
- This book was published in honor of the 20th anniversary of Junie B. Jones.
- This was the final Junie B. Jones book Barbara Park ever published before her death.
- Originally, there was going to be a book entitled "Junie B., First Grader: a New Year! Memories of First Grade", which was going to be the final book of the Junie B., First Grader series, but after Barbara Park's death from ovarian cancer in November of 2013, the book had to be cancelled, leaving this book the final one of the series.
